What is SIPOC?
SIPOC is a high-level process mapping technique used in continuous improvement projects. A SIPOC diagram lists the suppliers, inputs, process steps, outputs, and customers of a process under improvement.
The focus of SIPOC analysis is identifying the critical-to-quality inputs and outputs of a process as well as the suppliers and customers that they relate to, internal or external.
SIPOC analysis is used at the Define stage to map the scope of an imprvement project, as well as identifying process owners and operators, project stakeholders and improvement project team members.
