Certification Project with 1-on-1 Coaching

25–50 hrs.

For full certification you will be required, with our help, to complete a Lean Six Sigma project of relevance and value.

With 1-on-1 coaching with your instructor, we'll help you deliver your first professional quality Lean Six Sigma project.

How long will it take?

We expect you to spend roughly 10% of your day for a maximum of three months working on your certification project.

The likelihood is the project will be part of your work and the only extra effort will be documenting it to support your certification.

Tailored courses

Talk to us about booking a tailored group course for your organisation's schedule and training needs.

Joining the online live classroom

We use Zoom Workplace for all teaching and breakout sessions. It's free to download and use. A laptop or desktop computer with a camera and a headset with microphone will work best in class.

The course notes and teaching examples will be distributed via a public One Drive folder for you to download your own local copies.

Teaching style

We use small class sizes to allow lots of interaction with the instructor, as well as allowing us to make the course tailored and relevant to your specific interests.

There will also be quite a few breakout sessions of smaller teams of students and instructors to test and practice the tools.

We like participation! We think as students you learn most by questioning, challenging and testing what you hear.

Software needed

For Six Sigma modules

We use the statistics package JASP, which is 100% free.

It is easy to use and has excellent reporting formats for your project documentation

JASP is a port of IBM SPSS, and is supported by a number of institutions lead by the University of Amsterdam.

You will easily transfer the knowledge you gain using it to any of the other statistics packages that you may come to use.

It is important that we all have access to the same tools for classwork and breakouts and JASP is a great choice for all of our needs.

Deferring partway through a course

Yes you can do that.

If at any point the demands of your job or your personal plans change and conflict with the schedule you can always defer to a later cycle and pick up where you left off.

Privacy concerns

Don't worry!

We don't record any of our live teaching with students.

We also don't required you to give your full name when you sign into the classroom.

Before joining the class you will also be able to set up a background blur to obscure anything that might be in view around you.

Getting course notes, materials.

We will send you a copy of all the slides and all the training examples at the start of class.

We think it is important that you have access to everything and that you are able to make notes as you learn.
